Bylaw Reminders and Updates

Hello Neighbors,

The Architectural Control Committee of the BWPOA wants to remind everyone that under NO circumstances, should property owners cut down trees that are on COMMUNITY property.

We have received two notifications/concerns that this is happening in New Church and in Blackwalnut.

While on the subject, there is to be NO dumping of LARGE amounts of yard waste, clippings, trimmings, etc., to the point where it causes water and drainage “to pond” in the community areas; this leads to stagnant water, and subsequently mosquitoes.

The BWPOA has already paid $$ once to have excessive trimmings/branches/clippings removed from the New Church common area.

Lastly, no boats, watercraft, jet skis or trailers are to remain on the street or in driveways in either of the communities.

Welcome Neighbors!

After quite the wait, we are happy to introduce you to the newly designed website for the Blackwalnut Cove community.  With this redesign we hope to bring a new look, improved functionality, and ease of access to information you need within the community.

There is a community calendar where upcoming events will be posted.  If you have something you’d like to have included in the community calendar, please visit the Contact page so that your request can get to the right folks to be posted.

We have a section featuring the members of the board and other volunteers.  You can get to know them and put a name to the face.

Also new is the searchable community directory.  All neighbors who register with the website will be included in the directory.  It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors and reach out to them if needed.  If you choose to opt-out of the directory, you can enable the privacy setting in your BWC account.

There is a documents area where we will post important documents related to the community.  Here you will find the covenants and bylaws, useful forms, and meeting minutes from the monthly meeting.

We added a photo gallery to showcase the neighborhood in a way that both residents and potential residence can experience.  If you have photos that you would like to have featured, please contact either myself or another member of the board.

Another addition is the community forum.  This is where neighbors can post topics of discussion, classified ads, recommendations, etc..  While Facebook is a great place to have some of these discussions, not all of the neighbors are members of Facebook, so we are hoping that everyone will participate in the BWC website!

And finally, we created a page to feature neighbors who own a business or offer services that we can help support.  If you have a business or service the you offer, please contact us to have it featured on the page.

We are always looking for feedback and suggestions, so please feel free to let us know how we can make the website better for you and everyone in the community.
